About The Galium Garden

Samantha Brown BA (Hons) launched The Galium Garden in the spring of 2005 and relocated to South Wales after several years of working alongside her business partner, the TV gardener, Joe Swift, at their Islington design practice, The Plant Room.

Having studied landscaping at Capel Manor, Sam went on to gain a first class honors degree in garden design at Middlesex University. She was involved in the design and construction of gold medal winning gardens at the Chelsea and Hampton Court flower shows. In 2003 Sam designed six of the eight gardens featured in the Alan Titchmarsh series “How to be a gardener”. She also co-designed the Hampshire garden featured in the BBC 2 series “The gardener’s year” presented by Alan Titchmarsh.
